Why vertical louvres

Premium louvres

A premium side-shading solution that combines timeless design with technical excellence.

◆

Premium design

Vertical louvres are not just a design feature but a functional solution for your outdoor structures. The louvres tilt smoothly from 0° to 140°.

◫

Choice of aluminium or wooden frame

The all-aluminium version means a maintenance-free solution. Or choose an interesting combination with a frame made of glued laminated BSH timber if you want to make the space cosier or match it to the existing building.

⇅

Interlocking louvres from our own production

We only use interlocking aluminium louvres that we make ourselves and have specially adapted for this use. They are reinforced inside with three grooves for greater stability and strength.

☼

View or privacy – your choice

Closed, the louvres interlock and form a continuous surface without gaps. Open, they let the air flow; tilted over, they give you back the view of the garden.

Flexible shading

Ordinary shading has one position. Ours has infinitely many.

With ordinary shading, the louvre angle or position is fixed in advance. Our solution lets you tilt the louvres from 0° to 140° – keep them fully closed for complete privacy or set them to exactly the angle you want.

  • Protection from sun, wind and rain
  • Privacy on your terrace, gazebo or balcony
  • Fixed, pivoting and sliding frame options

Sliding systems

Frames that slide

A frame does not have to stay in one place all season.

The sliding version lets you move the shade to wherever you need it – and when you do not, simply slide the frames together and the view is clear. Sliding frames can also serve as a passage off the terrace or to the stairs.

Bottom guide – sliding frames

Bottom guide

The frame is guided at the top and bottom, so it can handle larger sizes and more bays. Most often it is a single row in which the frames slide to the sides – left or right, depending on where you want it open at the moment. Two rows one behind the other are just another option, not a requirement: the frames then slide behind each other and open up the whole bay. The bottom profile is mounted on the floor surface; we do not recess it into the paving.

  • Maximum frame width: wood 1.5 m · aluminium 2 m
  • One row: frames slide left and right
  • Two rows: frames slide behind each other and open up the whole bay
  • Bottom profile on the surface, not recessed into the paving

FAQ

All about vertical louvres

Answers to the questions we are asked most often.

Why do we use aluminium louvres for vertical systems?
We make the aluminium louvres ourselves and designed them specifically for vertical use. Wooden louvres are not suitable because of their maximum length of 1.5 m – at that length, a natural material may already show visible bowing.
Do you make the aluminium louvres yourselves?
The interlocking ones, yes. We do not buy them from a catalogue – a standard profile would bend when mounted vertically. Our louvre has 3–4 grooves and reinforcement that keep its shape even when it stands upright.
What happens when interlocking louvres close?
They form a continuous flat surface. The louvres are shaped to fit into each other when closed – with no gaps and no see-through.
Where can they be installed?
Most often on the sides of pergolas and terraces, on balconies and as a partition in the garden.
Why tilting louvres instead of fixed ones?
Fixed louvres always give the same shade. With tilting ones, you decide as the situation demands – close them when it is windy or you want privacy, and open them when you want the view.
Are the louvres screwed on?
No. The louvre is simply inserted into the rotation system – it is not drilled and nothing cuts into it.
What frame can be used?
A 50 × 50 mm aluminium box section or an 80 × 80 mm BSH beam. Both stand on adjustable feet of 1–5 cm. The choice depends on the style of the house – aluminium looks minimalist, wood warmer.
What is the warranty?
Two years as standard.
