How many SAM KIT pairs do I need and how do they connect?
The SAM KIT system comes in pairs, and each pair rotates 5 louvres. A pair consists of a left-hand and right-hand component because the system is fitted to both sides of the frame. If one frame has 20 louvres, you need 4 pairs. If you have several frames, calculate each one separately.
How many SAM KIT pairs do you need?
The calculation is simple: divide the number of louvres in the frame by five. Each louvre is inserted between the left-hand and right-hand components. A thickness of 19–20 mm and a width of 99–100 mm are suitable. The “20 mm” designation refers to the louvre thickness.

How the SAM KIT system connects
In a taller frame, the individual pairs are fitted one above the other. Connect the linkages between them using the small connector included in the pack. Once connected, simply rotate one louvre by hand and all the louvres in the frame will tilt with it.
The louvres themselves are simply inserted into the system. They are neither drilled nor screwed, so no screws are visible on the finished frame. If you need to replace one louvre, you do not have to dismantle the entire frame. With timber, this also means its structure remains intact.
Independent control of two sections
You can control the upper and lower sections independently. The linkage is not connected between the two systems, allowing you to adjust each group of louvres separately. This does not change the number of pairs required.
- More privacy below: close the lower louvres to 0° and leave the upper ones open.
- Shade in the upper section: position the upper louvres against the sun, while the lower ones can be tilted up to 140°.

SAM KIT for a shorter frame
Not every frame is high enough to accommodate complete systems. SAM KIT can be shortened with a hacksaw, and individual systems can be combined for a lower height. Use the configurator to check the material required based on the frame dimensions.
